New Games (I): ‘Gangster Number Two’

This simple dinner-party word game requires you to name films which have a vague affiliation to pooh, rather than films which actually are pooh. Points are awarded for original titles (Jackie Brown, Cable Guy) and variations thereof (hence ‘Gangster Number Two’).

    The Italian Job.

    The Eagle Has Landed?

  3. patroclus Says:

Wait, is that actually a film?

  4. The Done Thing Says:

It is – but i’m not familiar with the eagle euphimism. I like it though – ‘excuse me for one moment, I really must lay an eagle.’

As it happens, Michael Caine was in that too, as well as other scattological classics, ‘Around the U-Bend’ and ‘Beyond the Pooseidon Adventure’

  5. patroclus Says:

I was quite confident that ‘the eagle has landed’ could be employed as a euphemism for just about anything.

    What about U-Bend 571?

  6. BiB Says:

Forrest Gump. Perhaps rhyming slang. Fits into either poo-mentioning or poo-being films.

  7. Tim Footman Says:

    Plop Fiction?

  8. Tim Footman Says:

    Bridget Jones’s Diarrhoea.

  9. Tim Footman Says:

    Something starring Dysenterry-Thomas.

  10. patroclus Says:

    ‘Midnight Runs’

  11. wyndham Says:

    John Cassavettes’s Faces.

  12. The Done Thing Says:

Bib – Forrest Dump is within the rules

The rest of you all get loads of points, especially Tim, who’s introduced a whole new dimension to the game with Dysenterry Thomas.

For some reason, all this talk reminds me that Kinky Friedman (and other amusing Americans, presumably) describe taking a crap as having a Nixon, which is my favourite euphisism EVER. (After eagle, obviously.)
